Designer Crush: A. Naber Design
Every time I come across A. Naber Design, I get transported to my zen zone. Abbie Naber, based out of San Diego, has a knack for creating spaces that feel artful, relaxed and elevated. What I love even more is that each project has its own custom pieces, special touches that make it feel unique, and yet, they feel unified. Abbie reminds us that busy households thrive in fresh, open and inviting spaces.
I studied textiles in college and really take to brands that have a global, vintage, and hand-crafted feel. To me, KUFRI encompasses all of those traits. The textiles are tactile, hand-crafted, feel vintage, but are constructed so well. So many of the patterns resonate with me because they are subtle, but detailed, and not overpowering.
This residence is rooted in traditional and coastal modern styles. There is an unfussiness that suits the young family that resides here perfectly. We chose patterns that lived within neutral boundaries but had an added layer of interest.
The stripe in the Cusco Stripe fabric accompanies the Commune Malmo Check in Blue Jay pillows so wonderfully. We upholstered a playroom bench in the Kora Stripe. It encompasses a vintage feel and looks forgiving with the muted back tones.

I love all of the patterns from the Commune and KUFRI collaboration, but especially this Shaker Plaid in Cloud. It truly is the perfect neutral in my book. The Shaker Plaid provides the perfect amount of interest without being too overpowering.
